Getting to the Shop
Market Jew Street is the main pedestrian shopping street in Penzance, running east-west from the railway station up towards Causewayhead. We are at the east end of the street (number 92), the side closest to the train station.
By train
Penzance railway station is around two minutes' walk away. Turn right out of the station onto Wharf Road, walk up onto Market Jew Street, and we are a short walk along on the right.
By car (parking)
- Wharfside Shopping Centre car park — around three minutes' walk west. Closest paid parking, well-signposted.
- Harbour car park — around five minutes' walk south. Pay-and-display.
- On-street pay-and-display — available on the surrounding roads if you want to park very close.
By bus
Penzance bus station is opposite the railway station — same two-minute walk.
Accessibility
The shop is wheelchair accessible. Market Jew Street is pedestrian-friendly with dropped kerbs.
No Bookings — Just Walk In
We are a walk-in only barber shop. We do not take appointments — every chair is first-come-first-served, every day of the week.
This works in your favour most of the time. There is no booking system to navigate, no minimum notice, no cancellation fees. If you have ten minutes free between errands and you need a quick cut, walk in.
The one thing to know: Saturday around 1pm is consistently our busiest hour. If you walk in then, expect a 15-30 minute wait at peak times. If you have flexibility, the quieter chairs are usually:
- Weekday mornings (8am-11am Mon-Fri)
- Sunday morning (10am-noon)
- Earlier on Saturday (8am-noon)
If you are coming for a longer service (Turkish hot towel shave, full Turkish Experience, cut and beard combo), allow 30-60 minutes in the chair on top of any wait. Walk-ins for shorter services (line-up, beard trim, kids' cut) tend to clear quickly.
